Nano-JASMINE Home Page

Nano-JASMINE is the technical demonstrator of JASMINE mission, and also the first space astrometry satellite mission in JAPAN. It will be launched at Nov. 2013 from Alcantara Launch Center at Brazil by Cyclon-4 rocket.

    • 2011/10/19 NAOJ management approved to modify the contract for Nano-JASMINE launch to the ACS due to the launch delay.

    • 2011/09/30 The launch date of Nano-JASMINE will be shifted to Nov. 2013 due to the financial problem of Ukraine and Brazil. Strong encouragement from Gaia people and also support letters, we confirm our intention of continuing the project. And start the processes for getting approval of continuing the project.
    • 2011/06/22 Yuzhnoye (Ukraine) and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry(Japan) agree the contents of IIC(International Import Certificate) for Nano-JASMINE technical documents.
    • 2011/06/14 Prof. Nakasuka at the University of Tokyo and Prof. Gouda at National Astronomical Observatory Japan give lectures in "Science Cafe" of faculty of technology, the University of Tokyo.     • 2011/03/11 Strong earthquake occurs at Mar 11th 14:46JST. Maximum intensity 7 is observed at Tohoku area. Intensity is 5 even at Tokyo. No damage is observed on Nano-JASMINE. We have many words of sympathy from Gaia people. We all have been encouraged.
